International Staff Exchange Program was held on 26-28 February 2019 in Bangkok, and three JUAA staff participated.
The Staff Exchange Program is one of collaborative actions among the three QA agencies: the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA), Thailand, Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA), Taiwan, and JUAA. It has been continued since last year, and this time hosted by ONESQA.
We discussed and shared the experiences on the themes: Assessment of Learning Outcomes; Support for Quality Enhancement of Universities; Relationship Building with the Society; and IT in Evaluation. And we visited the Office of Higher Education Commission (OHEC) and Srinakharinwirot University for deepening our understanding on QA-related governmental policies and IQA. All the sessions and study-visits were meaningful , and we had a fruitful time together.
Knowing each other and establishing mutual confidence must be key factor for successful international collaboration in QA areas. Based on the Staff Exchange Program, JUAA will strengthen the partnership with the both agencies, and will be more engaged in international activities for making Japanese higher education more attractive and reliable in globalized society.
